Tuesday February, 15 2011 @ 19:19:45 Nature: Structure Fire Address: 24129 Celtic St Georgetown, DE 19947 On Tuesday evening, February 15th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist Millsboro Fire Company with a structure fire incident on Celtic Street in the Avalon Woods development. Millsboro’s Fire Chief Matt Warrington arrived on-scene and reported a light smoke condition from the residential structure. Initial emergency response engines were requested to evaluate the residential structure to determine the source of the issue. The residential occupant was evaluated for a possible smoke inhalation situation. A fire situation was present in the bathroom area which caused the smoke condition throughout the residential structure. A positive pressure ventilation process was established to clear the interior of the residence. Additional evaluations were conducted to determine if any extensions were present. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
