2010 APPARATUS ENGINEERS RECOGNIZED The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce the diligent and dedicated service of its 2010 Apparatus Engineers. The Apparatus Engineers are appointed at the pleasure of the Chief Engineer (James R. Wagner) and serves at his discretion for the duration of his elected term of office. The Apparatus Engineers are primarily responsible to coordinate routine maintenance checklist and to monitor and evaluate the condition of all equipment stored on the designated apparatus under their respective supervision. A monthly checklist is compiled and submitted to the Chief Engineer for additional evaluation and follow-up. The 2010 Apparatus Engineers were: George H. Bixby, II Raymond J. Miller Mario A. Street Michael Bowden Raymond E. Collas Harry Dawson Brian Morley Joseph H. Thompson, III Nicholas M. Karpin Derrick M. I. Pry Chief Engineer Jim Wagner presented each engineer with a token of his appreciation and thanked each and every engineer for the past service to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. These engineers saved the volunteer fire service many dollars by performing these designated duties.
