Saturday January, 8 2011 @ 13:11:50 Nature: Traffic / Transportation Acdnt BLS Address: Long Neck Rd & John J Williams - Food Lion Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday afternoon, January 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident near the intersection of John J. Williams and Long Neck Road. Upon arrival of emergency response apparatus, it was identified that a dark green Ford Windstar mini-vain was traveling south on Indian Mission Road and was struck by a private snow plow contractor’s vehicle. The impact caused the mini-van to slide onto the shoulder of the roadway and then to spin sideways into the roadway blocking all north and south bound traffic. The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
