Saturday October,6 2018Nature: Fire Prevention & Safety Awareness Demonstrations & DiscussionsCity: MillsboroAs Fire Prevention Month commences with October, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was been attending various community gatherings spreading the word regarding Fire Prevention, Fire Safety, and general Safety Awareness overall.On Saturday, October 6th, Indian River attended East Coast Garden Center’s “Touch a Truck” event with presentation regarding fire prevention and safety awareness. Indian River’s 1968 Mack R Model pumper was on display for all interested parties to enjoy. This annual event hosts a multitude of fire responders and equipment for the patrons to enjoy.Additionally, the Indian River volunteers attended the Massey Landing Resort to discussion with the general public and camping patron about fire safety and general awareness topics regarding safety overall.Attached are photographs of the events. |
