Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Harmons Hill Rd and Indian Mission Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday afternoon, August 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road at the intersection of Harmons Hill Road.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall incident mitigation activities.

It appears that the gray Ford Explorer and maroon Ford Econoline utility van collided at the intersection causing significant damage to both vehicles.  The Ford Explorer continued to travel off the roadway into a grassy ditch area.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
