Sunday November, 28 2010 @ 01:29:18 Nature: Traffic/TransportationAcdntBLS Location: Massey’s Landing Boat Ramp Address: 36678 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 Earlier Sunday morning of November 28th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident at the Massey’s Landing Boat Ramp off of Long Neck Road. It appears that a silver Dodge Magnum was traveling on Long Neck Road and failed to navigate the entrance to the public boat ramps. The vehicle struck the concrete medians and sustained significant damage to the front end, front fenders, wheels, under carriage of the vehicle as well as air bag deployment. The vehicle came to rest in the middle of the roadway. Indian River’s Duty Officer Hayden Klingler requested that only one piece of emergency response apparatus continue to the scene which would coordinate vehicle stabilization, scene assessment, vehicle fluid mitigation, and traffic control for the duration of the incident. The occupant of the vehicle was not immediately available upon arrival of Indian River’s emergency response units. The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the traffic situation and the Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
