Sunday June, 6 2010 @ 12:30:30 Nature: Electrical Fire Address: 27146 Merchantman Dr Millsboro, DE 19966 On Sunday afternoon, June 6th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported electrical fire inside of a manufactured residential structure located on Merchantman Drive in River Village just off of Oak Orchard Road. It was reported via the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center that a smoke condition was being emitted from the electrical sockets inside the residential structure. Chief Steven Deery coordinated the Incident Command duties and requested that the crew from Engine #80-1 initiate an interior investigate to ascertain the extent of the electrical concern. Other responding emergency apparatus were assigned to assist the interior evaluation assignment or stage at a designated location.
