Saturday, June, 5 2010 Nature: Fire Prevention Activities Address: Long Neck United Methodist Church, Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE On Saturday afternoon, June 5th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided fire prevention and fire truck awareness activities at the Long Neck United Methodist Church during their Annual Welcome Summer Event. Indian River’s Engine #80-5 was on display for the various question and answer items as well as discussing fire prevention safety and awareness topics. Indian River’s Fire Prevention Coordinator Jeff Biele assisted with the event and distributed various fire prevention pamphlets, hats, and memorabilia as well as performed fire truck rides. Other emergency response entities and public awareness entities included: (1) the Delaware State Police Child Fingerprinting and awareness booth; the Sussex County Emergency Medical Services, Office of Paramedics public awareness, and the Beebe Hospital Health Screening Unit.
