Saturday May, 22 2010 @ 15:41:41 Nature: Traffic/TransportationAcdntBLS Location: WSFS (80) Address: 24998 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle collision on John J. Williams Hwy. in the area of WSFS Bank, just west of Long Neck Road. It was reported to have a multiple car collision (chain reaction crash) with fluid leakage, roadway obstruction and relatively minor injuries, if any. Upon arrival of emergency response apparatus, it was identified that a Jeep traveling westbound on Route #24 and collided with a Nissan Xterra SUV causing it to strike a Honda Pilot SUV. The Honda and the Nissan sustained damages with the Xterra having mostly read door and rear end damages and some front end damage; however, the Jeep encountered significant front end damage with substantial fluid leakage into the roadway surfaces. Emergency response personnel were assigned to coordinate patient stabilization, if needed, vehicle stabilization, scene preservation, fluid absorption, and traffic control measures for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
