Nature: Red Flag Warning
'Red flag' fire warning issued for Sunday – May 9, 2010
A “red flag” fire warning is in effect from 10 this morning until 8 tonight, the National Weather Service says.
Gusty west to northwest winds combined with low humidity and dry fuels are combining to create a high fire danger across Delaware and nearby areas, the service said.
The service urged caution be used around any fire ignition sources and to make sure cigarettes and matches are discarded properly.
