Tuesday December, 22 2009 @ 14:07:57 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Acdnt BLS Address: 31303 - 31328 Indian Mission R Millsboro, DE 19966 On Tuesday, December 22nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle collision on Indian Mission Road (State Route #5) just north of Holiday Chicken Restaurant. It was reported as a single motor vehicle collision involving a telephone pole. Jason Faulkner, Sr. was acting as Apparatus Officer for the incident and directed Engine #80-5 to assist with patient stabilization, if needed, perform vehicle stabilization, and coordinate traffic patterns to ease any potential highway hazards. It appears that maroon four door sedan was traveling south on Indian Mission Road and crossing the center line and shoulder area before striking a driveway culvert becoming airborne and striking the utility pole. The sedan suffered significant front end damage. The Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
