Friday November, 20 2009 @ 07:46:29 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Accident ALS Address: Cannon Rd & Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Friday morning, November 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle incident on Cannon Road just east of Mount Joy Road. It was reported to have a sport utility vehicle overturned in a large ditch with potential submersion in water. A maroon Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling west on Cannon Road approaching the sharp curve and left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle overturned and came to rest up-side down in the large drainage ditch that runs parallel to the roadway. Emergency response personnel were assigned to coordinate patient stabilization, primary and secondary patient care assessments, vehicle stabilization, and traffic control measures. The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident. The incident is pending additional evaluation by the Delaware State Police.
