Sunday November, 8 2009 @ 12:55 am Nature: Structure Fire Address: 28368 Wynikako Avenue, Riverdale, Millsboro, DE 19966 Early Sunday morning of November 8th, the Indian River, Millsboro and Lewes fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Wynikako Avenue in Riverdale Park. It was reported that all occupants of the residence were outside. Duty Officer Hayden Klingler responded directly to the incident location and identified that a small fire ignited as a direct result of a malfunctioning heater and reduced the incident response to just one piece of apparatus from Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in Oak Orchard. It was identified as having a lite smoke condition inside the residence after the property owner extinquished the fire with a residential kitchen fire extinquisher. Duty Officer Klingler required ventilation of the stucture via positive pressure methods. The incident is pending additional evaluation.
