Thursday October, 22 2009 @ 16:08:06 Nature: Traffic / Transportation Acdnt BLS Address: 27094-27094 John J Williams Hwy & Rosedale Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966 On Thursday afternoon at approximately 4 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle collision at John J. Williams (Route #24) and Rosedale Road. It was reported that the vehicle collision involved two automobiles with multiple occupants that desired additional evaluation. Duty Officer – Eric Ruckle requested that John J. Williams Highway be shut down from Layton Davis Road to Gull Point Road for the duration of the incident. This assignment was coordinated by the Delaware State Fire Police with assistance in the vicinity of Sculley’s Corner. It appears that a gray Volkswagen Jetta was traveling west on John J. Williams Highway attempting to turn left onto Rosedale Road and was apparently struck from behind by a blue colored Chevrolet mini-van. Both vehicles sustained damaged that rendered them inoperable. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
