Friday September, 18 2009 @ 15:23:21 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Acdnt BLS Address: 26200-26299 John J Williams Hw Millsboro, DE 19966 The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle collision on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of the Back Bay Professional Center near Bay Farm Road. The Sussex County Emergency Operations Center reported a two vehicle collision with a vehicle roll-over. It appears that a silver Ford 4 door cross-over type vehicle was exiting the shopping center and collided with a General Motors type pickup truck causing the truck to exit the roadway and roll-over onto its side. Our Apparatus Officer, Jason Faulkner, was positioned to coordinate the incident command functionality. Engine #80-5 and Rescue 80 were requested to assist with patient stabilization, if needed, as well as performing vehicle stabilization and fluid absorption, where necessary. The Delaware State Fire Police were required to coordinate traffic control due to the superfluous non-patient transporting vehicles within the westbound traffic flow patterns of John J. Williams Highway.
