Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Hollymount Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, June 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Hollymount Road.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Ambulance 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 and the Delaware State Fire Police from the Long Neck area.

Emergency response crews were assigned with the tasks of vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and scene mitigation.

It appears that a gold color Lexus SUV and a maroon BMW SUV collided for unknown reasons.  The Lexus suffered left front-end damage while the BMW suffered right rear damage.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident because John J. Williams Highway encountered periodical traffic lane closures.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
