Saturday September, 12 2009 @ 22:28:05 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Acdnt ALS Address: 31500-31577 Oak Orchard Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday evening, September 12th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle incident on Oak Orchard Road in the vicinity of the Boys & Girls Club. Initial reports indicated that the incident involved a motorcycle with two riders and that any aviation was not available due to weather. Chief Steven C. Deery responded directly to the incident and requested that emergency response personnel coordinate patient stabilization, initiate patient care, evaluate vehicle stabilization, coordinate closure of Oak Orchard Road, and develop traffic control patterns. Both riders of the motorcycle required additional medical attention and were transferred to the Beebe Medical Center via the local emergency services provider. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
