Friday September, 11 2009 @ 11:52:48 Nature: Structure Fire Location: on Breakers St. Address: 26401 Winds Way, Pot Nets Bayside, Millsboro, DE 19966 Shortly before 12 n. on September 11th, the Indian River, Lewes, and Millsboro fire companies were alerted for a reported working structure fire on 26401 Winds Way in the Pot Nets Bayside development. Engine 80-3 arrived on the scene and reported fire showing from the exterior of the residential structure. Firefighters immediately deployed a fire suppression attack line and entered the structure in order to combat the fire. The interior response crew located very minimal fire within the structure. Exterior response crews were assigned to extinguish the fires that were located on the outside portion of the residential structure. Firefighters from Millsboro Fire Company were assigned to coordinate roof ventilation operations, and to serve as a Rapid Intervention Team, if needed. Lewes firefighters were assigned to assist with incident overhaul, scene preservation, and coordination of fire suppression evaluation. The residential structure was not occupied at the time of the fire and there were no firefighter or civilian injuries. The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office is investigating the origin of the incident.
