Tuesday, August 4, 2009 @ 21:16:24 Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm Address: 30975 Crepe Myrtle Dr., Millsboro, DE 19966 On Tuesday evening, August 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding at 30975 Crepe Myrtle Drive in the Gull Point Townhouse Development. Responding emergency apparatus were appraised of the situation based upon a concern forwarded by a private residential security alarm company. Emergency response personnel were assigned to evaluate the exterior of the residential structures, gain access to the residence and evaluate the interior structure for a determination of the automatic alarm activation. The incident was evaluated and an appropriate corrective action was initiated. After evaluation, the residential structure was returned to the occupants of the complex. It is believed that the incident was necessary due to a malfunctioning smoke detector.
