Sunday August, 2 2009 @ 14:25:02 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Accident ALS Location: North of Holiday Chicken – Indian Mission Road Address: 31698 Indian Mission Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Sunday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle incident on Indian Mission Road just north of Holiday Chicken and Friendship Road. It appears that a tan colored Chrysler Sebring was traveling south on Indian Mission Road and left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle crossed the ongoing traffic pattern leaving the roadway surface and straddled a ditch on the east shoulder of the roadway. Chief Steven C. Deery, Jr. coordinated incident command responsibilities and requested assistance with patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization and traffic control for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident. The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance during the remainder of the incident.
