Nature: Chief Engineer Emeritus Plaque Presentation

On Wednesday evening, May 2nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company formally bestowed the Chief Engineer Emeritus Award and recognition plaque to James R. Wagner for his professional diligence and dedication serving in the Chief Engineer capacity as well as many other hats as illustrated Assistant Chief Engineer, DVFA Delegate and served on the Accident Investigation & Evaluation, numerous Truck Acquisition committees. James also has been awarded the President's Award, Top Incident Responder for many years, Indian River's Firefighter of the Year, Henry C. Warrington Award, and awarded Life Membership in 2010.
The Chief Engineer Emeritus is utilized within the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company to denote perpetual status for the organization with individuals who moved the organization to new heights and served formerly as a key member on the board of directors representing the fire line and apparatus operations side of the company.
William Tobin, Chairman of the Board – Memorial Fire Company also recognized Jim Wagner for Chief Engineer Emeritus status as well as reaching a significant milestone within the Masonic Lodge of 50 years.
