Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: 30150 Hollymount Rd., Harbeson, DE 19951

On Monday afternoon, March 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Hollymount Road near the intersection of Beaver Dam Road.  

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included verification of fire suppression and traffic control for the duration of the incident.

It appears that a Buick sedan was traveling on Hollymount Road and caught fire on the driver’s side rear seat area.  The fire was extinguished prior to arrival of any emergency response apparatus.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating since the vehicle was in-motion at the time of the mishap.
