Saturday December, 6 2008 @ 21:52:30 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Accident BLS Address: Gull Point Rd & John J William Millsboro, DE 19966 At approximately 9:52 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway (Route #24) near the intersection of Gull Point Road (County Road #312). It was reported to have a single vehicle versus a utility pole with pole and wires down in the roadway. Upon of arrival of emergency response apparatus, it was identified that a white Chrysler 300 was traveling east on John J. Williams Highway and did not fully navigate the curve for some unknown reason. The vehicle left the roadway striking the utility pole. The utility pole fell with all wires falling into the roadway. John J. Williams Highway was closed for the duration of the incident. East and west bound traffic was detoured. All occupants of the vehicle refused medical attention. The Delaware State Fire Police and the Delaware Department of Transportation conducted traffic control measures.
