Nature: Vehicle Accident

Indian Mission Rd and Friendship Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Wednesday morning, March 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road the near the intersection of Friendship Road.  It was reported to be trash truck and a compact SUV.

Emergency response units from Indian River included 80 Command and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck area as well as Utility 80-11 from the Oak Orchard area.  Other responders included the Delaware State Fire Police, Sussex County Paramedics and the Millsboro Fire Company EMS Services.

Emergency response assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control and incident mitigation.

It appears that a trash truck was on the shoulder of the roadway when a compact SUV collided with the rear of the truck for unknown reasons.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
