November 25, 2008 @ 9:22:05 Nature: Vehicle Accident Address: John J. Williams Hwy & Mount Joy Road On November 25th the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident at or near the intersection of John J. Williams Highway, Oak Orchard and Mount Joy Roads. It was reported to include atleast two vehicles with a patient entrapment situation in one vehicle. Apparently, one vehicle was located near the Royal Farms area with a potential patient and a second vehicle was located near the Shore Stop area with potential four patients. Chief Deery coordinated the vehicle stabilization and extrication measures which required a passenger door pop of the “B” Post on the Mitsubishi vehicle. Additional ambulance units were requested from Lewes and Millsboro fire companies.
