Sunday October, 19 2008 @ 11:32:04 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Accident BLS Incident Address: John J Williams Hwy & Layton Davis Road, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Sunday morning, October 19th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway (Rout e#24) at the intersection of Layton Davis Road. It appears that a white Chevrolet compact car was traveling west on Route #24 attempting to turn onto Layton Davis Road and was struck from behind by a white Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. The occupant of the S-10 Blazer required vehicle extrication measures to be completed in order to initiate patients transportation to nearby medical facilities. The incident required John J. Williams Highway to be closed for the duration. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
