Wednesday October, 15 2008 @ 12:03:23 Nature: Alarm Company Address: 29 Comanche Cir Millsboro, DE 19966 At approximately 12:04 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding at 29 Comanche Circle in Warwick Park. Chief Steven Deery responded to the incident and initiated incident command. Chief Deery could identify a smoky odor being emitted from the residential windows around the structure. Indian River firefighters were able to gain access to residential structure and were able to immediately identify that an occupant of the residence left a pan of eggs boiling on the stove and departed. At the time of the incident, no one was at the residential structure and the incident responders shut off of the stove, removed the pan from the stove, and initiated ventilation measures to rid of the house of the smoke and odor. Twelve volunteer firefighters responded and were in-service for 38 minutes.
