Monday August, 18 2008 @ 15:59:47 Nature: Water Rescue Priority Location: Massey’s Landing Address: 36678 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday, August 18, 2008, at 4 p.m., the Indian River, Bethany Beach, and Rehoboth Beach Fire Companies were alerted for a reported water rescue incident involving a vessel collision in the Indian River Bay, near Pot Nets Seaside. Upon arrival of rescue personnel, they determined that a jet ski had collided with a fishing vessel. One female patient was transported to Christiana Hospital by the Delaware State Police Aviation Section. A male victim was located and was identified as a priority four incident. The Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control – Marine Police is investigating the incident. The boat ramps at Massey's Landing were closed during this incident The United States Coast Guard and other regulatory agencies assisted in the rescue and investigation efforts.
