On Tuesday, August 5th, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted its Annual Longaberger Basket BINGO event at the Main Street in Oak Orchard. This year’s event was attended by approximately 130 people and included 20 games of BINGO for which Longaberger Baskets were the prize; a 50/50 Raffle; a silent auction; and other activities thorough out the evening. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to acknowledge the corporate and community sponsors which included: William L. Mears General Contracting; Holiday Chicken, Inc.; Bob Willey & Sons, Inc.; Indian River Yacht Club, Inc.; Hawkins’ Electric; John C. Atkins, Candidate for the 41st Representative District; Ferraro Stitch Art; and L & W Insurance Co., Inc. During the intermission period, there were lite refreshments which included egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches, potato chips, pretzels, beverages and other snack food prepared and provided by the Ladies Auxiliary. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank all of the participants and believe that many had an enjoyable evening.
