Shortly after 3:30 a.m., on Sunday, March 31st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival of our Duty Officer - Assistant Chief Eric Ruckle, a small silver vehicle was located on the shoulder of the road with smoke emitting from the interior of the vehicle. Crews from Indian River implemented a fire suppression attack to bring the incident under control. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
