Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Hollymount Road Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Saturday morning, January 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway near Holly Mount Road.  It was reported to be a smaller SUV type vehicle striking a pole and causing priority electric lines to be impacted.

Emergency response crews were assigned to coordinate information and provide assistance with responding utilities.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-1, the Delaware State Fire Police, and the Delaware State Police, and Sussex County Medics.

It appears that a Jeep Cherokee SUV was traveling on John J. Williams Highway and lost control striking some trees and a utility pool.

The Delaware Department of Transportation provided assistance with traffic due to lane closures while the utility services were repaired.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
