On Sunday evening, October 21, 2007 at approximately 10:02 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Engine 80-5, under the command of Deputy Chief Brian Hubbs, arrived on location to find a motorcycle had struck a fence and tree. Sussex County Paramedics were already on scene, providing an initial patient assessment and advised the patient would need to be airlifted to trauma center.
