Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 32233 Pelican Ct Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, December 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding (automatic fire alarm – AFA) on Pelican Court in the Bayshore Development off of Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment was mitigation of the incident and identify the source of the concern.

Upon arrival of the emergency response crews, it was determined to be that the residential occupants were baking cookies which created the alarm.

All units and personnel were returned to their respective stations.
