Nature: Vehicle Accident Possibly Serious

Warwick Rd and Shorts Landing, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, November 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company as well as dive teams from Millsboro (83), Selbyville (88), and Dagsboro (73), the Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit (Trooper 2), and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Marine Police were alerted for a reported vehicle accident with vehicle into the water and reported subjects trapped.

Emergency response crew from Indian River included Ladder 80 and Utility 80 with 80 Marine 1 and the Delaware State Fire Police were responding prior to cancellation.

It appears that a vehicle was traveling at a reported excessive speed and did not stop at the roadway dead end pursuant to the information of the telephone caller requiring the aforementioned incident alerts.  However, this was not situation and the vehicle was able to stop and turn around within the knowledge of the reporting person(s).

All units were cancelled with the exception of the Delaware State Police.
