Nick Adams, a volunteer firefighter from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and a United States Army Specialist as well as several other members of the 153rd Military Police Unit of Delaware City, will be answering the call of duty. Nick and his comrades will leave June 15 and will serve a tour of duty expected to be approximately 15 months. The Board of Directors, Officers and members of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wish Nick and his comrades a safe deployment. We ask that you please keep Nick, the 153rd MP Company, and their families in your thoughts and prayers. The volunteer fire company hosted a special session to honor Nick for this dedicated and diligent service as well as attending a private reception of family and friends at Nick’s residence. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nick and all the other service personnel hoping for a safe return.
