On Friday, March 2, 2006, at 12:03 a.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a CO Detector activation. Crews made entry into the residence and checked for possible leakage around a propane fireplace, while exterior crews checked the condition of the tanks. Fire personnel replaced batteries in the smoke detector and CO detector. This incident was under the command of First Assistant Chief Ryan Mock.
