On Saturday, December 2, 2006, at 1:06 p.m., the Indian Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a Motor Vehicle Collision on John J. Williams Highway west of Long Neck Road. Upon arrival of First Assistant Chief Ryan Mock, it was determined a single vehicle had veered off the roadway, striking an utility pole. There was one patient out of the vehicle and refused treatment from the local ambulance service provider. All fire police were required to deviate from the normal traffic pattern due to the damage of the pole. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
