Nature: Wires Down/Arching

Location: 34806 Church Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Tuesday morning, October 31^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wires down incident on Church Lane just off of Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a trash truck snagging some low hanging wires.

Emergency response apparatus from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation and communicating specific information the local utility service provider – Delaware Electric Cooperative.

It appears that the trash truck become entangled with low hanging electric wires requiring the response of the utility service provider.
