On Friday, October 27, 2006 at 10:17 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle collision on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of the Sandbar Tavern. First Assistant Chief Ryan Mock arrived on scene and reported a two vehicle collision with two patients trapped. Engine 80-5, Rescue 80, and Engine 80-1 responded to the incident. This incident involved a total of five patients, of which, three patients required transport to the local medical facility. This incident was placed under control at 10:57 p.m. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
