On Monday, May 29, 2006, at 6:42 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company on a working structure fire. Along with the Georgetown Fire Co (Station 77) Indian River crews assisted with extinguishment and overhaul of the structure. Engine 80-1, Engine 80-2, Engine 80-5, Rescue 80, and Tanker 80 responded. The Lewes Fire Company provided a stand by for the Indian River Fire Company until they were able to return to service.
