On Thursday, March 23, 2006, at 3:19 a.m. the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a Woods Fire in White House Beach. While enroute, Chief Steven Deery was advised that the caller could see the woods on fire and it appeared that the fire was growing.
