Story
On February 22 & 23, your volunteers from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company participated in a two-day training session regarding the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS). This state of art training session is mandated by the federal government in order for fire companies to be eligible to apply for federal funding. An average of 25 personnel were present each evening to complete this course. The officers of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank each volunteer that participated and the Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) for coordinating the quality of instruction and program objectives.
