Sunday August 20, 2017 Nature: Fireworks Standby Place: Paradise Grill – Pot Nets Bayside
On Sunday evening, August 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company completed a pre-arranged standby for some fireworks display at the Paradise Grill in Long Neck at Pot Nets Bayside. Engine #80-3 coordinated the task and responsibilities of coordinating the standby assignment. During the firework event, there was a small fire on the ignition barge which results in firefighters deploying extinguishers. There were no injuries and damage was minimal. Shortly thereafter, the was an emergency medical call in Pot Nets Bayside which Engine #80-3 provided services until the arrival of the Sussex County Paramedics and Rehoboth Beach Emergency Medical Services. |
