At 2:55 AM on Monday, January 9, we were dispatched, along with Station 82, Lewes, to Wagon Track in Pot-Nets Seaside for a report of a house fire. We arrived to find that the resident had been awakened by his smoke detectors and was already outside. There was a car on fire in the carport as well as fire inside the residence. Firefighters knocked the fire down quickly and kept it from spreading to other parts of the residence. The resident was checked out by County Paramedics but he remained at the scene. Twenty-eight Indian River Firefighters were in service for 2 hours and 4 minutes for this call.
