At 5:24 PM on Wednesday, December 7, we were dispatched to East Penn Court in Captain's Grant for a chimney fire. First arriving units found that the resident had knocked down most of the fire with a fire extinguisher. We removed the burning materials from the fireplace, checked the chimney from both the top and the bottom, and used a Thermal Imaging Camera to make sure the fire had not spread into the walls or other hidden spaces. Firefighters were in service for 23 minutes for this call.
