At 2:35 PM on May 28, we were dispatched to the Palmer Center, Long Neck Road and Banks Road, for the report of a building fire. On arrival, no fire was observed but there was a smoke condition in the stores. Delaware Electric Co-op was already on location as a power problem occurred in the building earlier in the day. DEC cut power to the building again as soon as the smoke was discovered. We checked the building as power was restored and no further problems were discovered. Station 82, Lewes, assisted at the scene. Firefighters were in service for one hour and nineteen minutes for this call.
