Story
At 5:14 PM on April 26, we were dispatched to Route 5, Indian Mission Road, north of Friendship Road for a serious MVA with injuries. Upon arrival, we found a Dodge Caravan and a Toyota Camry that had collided head-on. Both drivers were seriously injured and had children in the vehicles with them. The driver of the Toyota was extricated within twenty minutes of the original call using hydraulic rescue tools and was flown to Beebe Medical Center by Delaware State Police helicopter, Trooper 2. Thirty-three firefighters were in service on this call for one hour and twenty-two minutes.
