We were dispatched to Oak Orchard Road in the area of the Oak Orchard West development for a traffic accident with injuries. We arrived to find a Ford Ranger pickup and a Toyota Corolla that had collided head-on with the driver of the Toyota still in his car. Both vehicles were secured and the Toyota was cribbed before the driver was removed. We assisted with patient removal and helped to prepare him for transport to the hospital. He was taken to Beebe Medical Center by ground transportation. We put oil-dry on spilled fluids on the roadway and used brooms to spread and cleanup the oil-dry. The Delaware State Police FARE Team responded to the scene. Twenty-five firefighters were in service for one hour and twenty minutes on this call.
