Shortly after the Dewey Beach incident, a second vessel crash occurred about 45 minutes later at Massey's Landing boat ramp along Rehoboth Bay when a pontoon boat ran into another boat that was docked at the launch area, Lt. John McDerby said.

The docked vehicle, which had a family on board, reported two injuries when the pontoon boat struck it, he said.

A mother and her 13-year-old son were also transported to Beebe Hospital for precautionary purposes. McDerby said their injuries were also minor.

That crash also remains under investigation by the DNREC Officers and the Delaware State Police..
