Nature: Firework Standby Assignments (Pre-arranged)
 

 

Commencing on Saturday evening, July 1st thru Tuesday, July 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has assisted neighboring fire districts with fire work standby crews as well as providing such services within our immediate fire district.

These assignments included:

(1)     Saturday, July 1st an apparatus standby crew was provided to the Millsboro fire district to assist with their fire work display in the Cupola Park;

(2)   Saturday, July 1st a marine unit standby crew was provided to the Indian River Yacht Club -  Warwick Park area for some fireworks display off a barge in the bay area;

(3)    Sunday, July 2nd an apparatus and marine unit crew was provided to the Leisure Point Community for some fireworks display off a barge in their marina area.  These units were also assisted with two marine units from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control (DNREC) Division of Fish & Wildlife; 

(4)   Monday, July 3rd an apparatus standby crew was provided to the Baywood Green community for some fireworks display in their respective community; and

(5)   Tuesday, July 4th an apparatus standby crew was provided to the Paradise Grill area in the Pot Nets Bayside community for some fireworks display in their respective community.
